Sociopoliticool was founded on March 6, 2024, by Alexia Dominique Reyes, a licensed social studies teacher with a bachelor’s degree in political science and an ongoing master’s degree in public administration. She is a third‑generation educator, raised by a mother who is a school principal and a grandmother who served as one before retiring. But growing up, her dream was to write for a living.
As someone who always dreamed of working in a publication, she realized she could build one herself in the field she knows best. And because social sciences can feel intimidating or overly complex, she wanted to make them clearer, more relatable, and useful for everyone. All published resources are free to cater to those who need accessible, research-based materials without financial barriers.
Alexia started writing in English and exploring website design and development in 2009. In 2019, which was ten years later, she had the opportunity to work as an SEO writer and do website development on the side for businesses worldwide. In 2024, she was able to build Sociopoliticool on her own, thanks to her experience.
Her hobbies are writing, designing, and reading. She is a volunteer librarian at Hardcover.
